Additional Information About the Role

  • Up to a $2800 Sign on Bonus
  • Shift information: FT (40 hours per week) – Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Direct Reports: Clinic Nursing Supervisors, Health Care Home Supervisors, and Clinic Lead RN’s. This role will also have oversight with our Health Care Homes Primary MD’s (three currently).  And ultimately has oversight over all of clinic nursing and Health Care Home staff.
  • Office Location:  3309 South Kingshighway – But must also travel between all 4 clinic sites (North County, St. Louis City, South County and Farmington).
  • Who will this person interact with on a regular basis - Nursing and healthcare home staff, as well as collaborate with the medical team, pharmacy, case management team and clients if needed. This person would have interactions with Department of Mental Health meetings and other ancillary BJC Behavioral Health staff as needed. Would interact and collaborate with Behaviioral Health Medical Director
  • MUST HAVE skills for this position: Must be an RN with strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills, familiarity with outpatient nursing protocols and policies/guidelines, ability to organize data and reports, skill with scheduling and collaborating with other departments, nursing clinical background, experience with outpatient mental health/psychiatric clients.

Overview

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties.  As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Role Purpose

Champions practice transformational change. Oversees the implementation and coordination of systemwide programs. Develops and implements processes to comply with program requirements from DMH, Medicaid and other key stakeholders and payors. Manages the daily operations of programs to meet BJC, Behavioral Health, DMH, Medicaid and other key stakeholders expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Directs operations and integrates services within the work unit and with other departments.
  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
